Hello,

I’m an undergraduate student at Fairleigh Dickinson University pursuing communications with a concentration on multi-media journalism and minoring in creative writing. Welcome to my portfolio!

Broadcast Intern at Pace Public Relations

During my semester working with Pace Public Relations, my responsibilities included:

Case Studies/Proposals/Capability Decks

  • Case Studies: I record the number of impressions and press hits our clients have gained since working with the company.

  • Proposals/Capability Decks: I use Canva to craft presentations and personalize them for the potential client we are trying to recruit. I include my case studies in these slides to show past successes with our clients.

Pitches Made

  • I look over broadcast and lifestyle clients and pull the most important points they can expand on for stories at digital/online, TV, and radio outlets.

  • Using these points, I pitch our client to various outlets by recommending their expertise for any trends going on in the media.

Onboarding Strategy for Client, Ben Lytle

This is a one-month onboarding strategy that I worked on for one of our newest clients, Ben Lytle: a former Fortune 500 CEO, entrepreneur, and author.

Flow Chart: The Pitching Process

This chart highlights the breakdown of the process of pitching to various broadcast outlets, including print, digital, radio, and television.

Here is an example of a pitch I wrote up for Pace PR’s real estate broker duo, Tom & Mickey. This pitch was sent to print and digital, radio, and TV outlets.

Proposal for Client Jeremy Eldridge + Case Studies

Before the new year rolls in, the PR firm I worked with had been onboarding several new clients. To welcome these clients and tell them about our company, we craft proposals for the supervisors to discuss when they meet the latest client. Additionally, I created case studies to highlight our clients, both past and present, who work within the same field as the clients we plan to onboard.

Pitches Sent Out

  • Occasionally, with the pitches I wrote up or ones my colleagues have crafted, I am assigned to send these pitches out to our media lists through mail merging to see if anyone would be interested in setting up interviews with our experts.

Media Lists Made

  • Most of my time is spent building media lists. My supervisor assigns me to gather reporters, producers, outlets, or podcasts onto different lists that pertain to specific clients we have and news that circulates. We use these lists when we send out our pitches; this allows us to build connections with outlets.

This pitch was crafted for Pace PR’s mortgage expert client, Jennifer Beeston. I wrote this pitch in October, offering Beeston as an expert for real estate stories or articles related to Halloween.
